First Step - Platform To make a car really practical you've got to turn it into a van! I've removed the rear seats entirely and built a flat platform right the way from behind the drivers seat to the rear loading sill. With the remain dirvers adn passengers seat pushed forward on their runners I have space 8 feet by 4feet although slightly waisted by the rear supension turrets. The spaces underneath the wooden floor are all accessible for storage areas by hinged lids and the entirety of the floor in carpeted in red earth hessian backed wool rich carpet. Cooker & bedside table - Here you see a cooker nestling in the offside rear door opening. The cooker is as easy to operate from outside as inside the car, the door proximity provides ventilaltion for draw and output. Aluminium shielding reduces flammable risks behind the cooker stand are store cutlery and pans. Ideal for an impromptu "brew-up" either when you wake up (in bed) or after a surf.
Bed & Surfboard storage - 3 stacking cushions & a pillow make the bed, lined up in a row you've a 3 foot by 7 foot bed, the surfboard is strapped to the near side of the car blocking nearside egress but standing off the wardrobe hanging on the inside of the nearside door. The Sleeping bag is stored under the platform when not in use.
The view forward from the bed into the cockpit area for multimdeia and communications equipment lives
Overhead - and easy to reach night light and daylight/ventilations system (sunroof and interior lamp to you) .
